Brilliant Alan, but correct if I'm wrong but are they essentially trading insolvently? I know you can carry losses from year to year and then pay tax on a profit year but as they've never made a profit since their inception surely that's illegal. If I'm wrong can you explain why and if I'm correct why are they still a going concern. Love the podcasts mate and God bless you all, keep this content going as I lap this stuff up.
Hi Tommy and thanks. I’m not an accountant but so long as directors are willing to make up operating shortfalls they will be fine as regards solvency. Maybe the crowd can help?
Thanks mate I wasn't sure if I was correct it was because I read something the other about companies trading insolvently that I thought it might apply to TRIFC, so that's why I posited the question.
UEFA FSR forces them to live within their means or sanctions escalate as regards participation in European football which is essential to their financial well-being. A TRFC living within its means is a significantly smaller operation than Celtic. Welcome to purgatory.
Yes well they only have themselves to blame two clubs spending money they don't have, one goes to the wall and the other is a basket case and they're now light years behind us and it's an absolute joy to see them in the state they're in.
Brilliant. Factual. Unfortunately unreported in SMSM
Amen

Fantastic precis and well worth reissuing every year on the anniversary of their death.
